Unboxing:
An Exhibition

"Unboxing" is a conceptual exhibition which holds a collection of illustration used in packaging design from the early twentieth century to the modern era. The changing roles of illustration in packaging over time is closely observed in this curation, through carefully selected products of various brands including Kellogg's, Pepsi, Wiff Candles, and Finca De La Rica among others.

Throughout the visual design for the catalog, vibrant patterns have been fit into "die line" shaped layouts to emphasize the significance of the topic - which is "Illustration in Packaging Design". The catalog for the exhibition aims to be fun and engaging for the viewer by using vibrant colors, and elements like short sheets and die-cuts in the book to make it an interesting read.

To enhance the overall 'Unboxing' experience, a range of branded merchandise and collateral such as tote bags, way-finders, washi tape, posters, and banners have been designed. Tickets that can be punched out and folded into a box, and on-site customizable drawstring pouches have been designed as well to provide a more immersive and interactive experience.
